What We Offer:

We are a local Martial Arts school in Blackpool. We are a friendly club that does not accept any form of bullying! At Zen we teach people from the ages of 3 years and up. My name is Patrick Perry, otherwise known as Sensei by the students. I have fought for 10 years on the kickboxing circuit over many places across the UK. Been running Zen for 25 year. While i was fighting i have won Blackpool Open Championship while i was living in Birmingham. I am a 4th Dan Black Belt in Kickboxing as well as having a degree in Lau Gar Kung Fu. I teach at my gym full time.

Zen has been the longest running martial arts club on the fylde coast. I achieved my black belt from this club 10 years ago and i still use the principles and methods that Patrick taught me to this day and i know without the solid foundation of fitness i built there i would not have recovered from some bad injuries i sustained through work
3 lessons so far. Absolutely loving it. Sensei Patrick knows how to bring the best out of you. Friendly environment. Never once felt intimidated.
A friend of mine was looking for kick boxing gym for his son and invited me to go with him to Zen kickboxing academy, to be fair i was pleasantly surprised by the high standards of this gym and Patrick the owner showed around this gym..which includes kickboxing, boxing and Zumba classes.. I have to admit i am impressed by the professional approach of this owner, i highly recommended it.

We are a full time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu School under head coach Oliver Geddes with classes in Gi and No Gi along with Judo too. As a member of the BJJ GlobetrottersI just spent a few weeks matsurfing at UTC and must say that I enyoyed my stay a lot!! Apart from the extraordinarily high level jiu jitsu it is especially the warm, familiar atmosphere which makes this gym indeed unique and probably the best place to learn martial arts. I would always like to train at UTC again.
